Bocce is a ball sport resembling bowling and is developed in Italy. It was introduced in Cameron Highlands by the late Simon Rajendran when we trained our special children in it. Two of our students, Izran and Lai Hooi Bor, went on to win local awards in Bocce competitions organised for special children.On the 24thJ anuary 2018, Datin Aseema took them out to a small park in Royal Lily ,Tanah Rata for some training. Assisting her, were her nephews, Vinod and Abhishek Kumar. The children love such outings and it was a fun day.
Heritage Hotel regularly sponsors lunch for Cherish and on this occasion we celebrated Lee Yueh Shi’s birthday as well.
As part of their community and school health programme, the local dental department paid a visit on the 13th March 2018. Students were given a dental checkup and taught on how to maintain good dental health.
Hooi Bor has made tremendous progress since he first joined Cherish many years ago. On the 24th April 2018, we celebrated his 21st birthday.
From time to time, local restaurants,hotels or residents will sponsor meals for Cherish. On the 12th of April 2018, Smokehouse Hotel sponsored lunch and the children enjoyed themselves.
On the 24th January 2018, teachers Guna, Jayanthi and Zusi took the students to the local pet shop.
